Leases
Adding a lease under IFRS 16, and the entries that follow.
Leases → Leases list → New lease. Give it the start date, the term in months, the payment, how often it is paid, and a discount rate.
Elvira works out the present value and posts the right-of-use asset and the lease liability. From there, depreciation runs on a schedule and the current portion, what falls due within twelve months, is reclassified for you.
Ordinary rent
Choose Expense as the kind and the lease charges straight to profit instead, with no asset and no liability. It sits in the same register, so you are not running two systems.
Recording a payment
Open the lease and record it there. The page tells you what is due.

Open Leases → Leases list. The tiles are the liability, the right-of-use asset carrying value, depreciation due and payments due.

IFRS 16 leases and ordinary rent in one register, with the entries behind them listed underneath.
